Four from BL to compete in Division I Tournament, two going head-to-head

Bishop Lynch will be well represented when the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament starts tomorrow evening.

Four former Lady Friars will be in action during the first round with two former BL teammates going head-to-head.

Those with access to the Longhorn Network can tune in at 5 pm to catch Atu Mshana and the 12th-ranked Longhorns take on Natalie McDonough and the Conference USA Champions, North Texas Mean Green.

Mshana, a sophomore defender, has played 3,382 consecutive minutes for Texas (13-3-2 overall). She has not missed a single minute in her two-year career.

McDonough, a junior midfielder, transferred from Missouri to UNT this season and scored two goals with two assists for the Mean Green (14-3-4 overall).

At 7 pm, Kaycie Tillman and the 16th-ranked Florida State women host Ole Miss in a first round match. Tillman, a junior midfielder, has notched three assists and two goals in 20 games this year.

TCU and senior Allison Ganter will take on Arizona at 8 pm. Ganter, the leading scorer for the Horned Frogs, has six goals and four assists in 21 games this season.

The possibility of a second-round matchup with two Lady Friars is possible if Ganter and Tillman are able to get past their first opponents. TCU and Florida State would meet in the second round.
