As part of Bishop Lynch High School's student formation realignment, BL has hired Greg Price as its new men's athletic director/head football coach. Coach Price comes to Bishop Lynch with years of head football coaching and athletic director experience in the private school sector.
Coach Price served at Liberty Christian, a TAPPS 6A private school in Argyle, for 21 years culminating in his concurrent role of head football coach and athletic director. Most recently, Coach Price has been the head football coach at Founders Classical Academy. Coach Price graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and played college football both at Navarro Junior College and at UNT.
BL Principal Dr. Chad Riley is excited to have Coach Price at the helm of the Friar football team and all men's sports.
"I'm confident Coach Price can continue Bishop Lynch's history of competitive sports programs all while building community and positively impacting the lives of our student-athletes. In addition, Bishop Lynch will be positioned to further advance the integration of faith formation into its athletic program according to the school's strategic plan," said Dr. Riley.
Coach Price is thrilled to be coaching and leading in a Catholic school setting.
"This opportunity at Bishop Lynch is where my purpose and passions align. My purpose is to know, love and serve God and my passion is faith, family, and football. I am extremely excited to serve Bishop Lynch as men's athletic director and be a part of the rich tradition of the school," said Coach Price.
Chris Rebuck, Bishop Lynch president, welcomed Coach Price on campus today and lent his full support to Price in his new role.
"Bishop Lynch High School has a proud history of developing student-athletes and top-notch teams. With his prior experience and coaching philosophy, I believe Coach Price will be an excellent leader for Bishop Lynch football and all men's sports," said Rebuck.
BL spring football begins May 6 and Coach Price will assume his duties immediately. A special meet-and-greet reception will be held on campus later in May.
