BL Crew races to several Top 4 spots in OKC

Bishop Lynch Crew members with Dallas United Crew and White Rock Rowing took the waters in Oklahoma last weekend for the Oklahoma City Regatta.

BL athletes did very well, earning a high number of Top 4 finishes at the event.

Anson Smith had a first-place finish in the Men's Varsity 8+ to go with a fourth-place finish in the Men's Varsity 4+. Katie Hammonds earned a top finish in the Women's Varsity 8+ while Grace Clary and Isabelle McClain were both in the Women's Novice 8+ boat that took first place.

Hammonds was half of the Women's Varsity 2- (pair) that earned a third-place result. In the Women's Novice Lightweight 4+, Samantha Taken also earned third place, as did Harris Goetz in the Men's JV 4+. Grace Cook-Burton also finished third in the Women's Varsity 4+.

Parker Stowers, Janey Jackson and Anna Savant were in the Women's Varsity 4+ that finished fourth. In the Women's Novice 8, a fourth-place finish was secured by Claire Jenkins, Riley Stowers, Caitlin Breedlove and Rin Plemons.

This weekend, varsity crew members will head to the West Coast to compete in the San Diego Crew Classic.
