After waiting an unexpected two weeks for live game action, the Friars made the most of it Friday, pummeling the visiting Pumas from International School of Broward (FL), by a score of 56-0 at Roffino Stadium.

The Friars' previous game was canceled due to weather, so Bishop Lynch (2-2) had some extra aggression for their opponents from Hollywood, FL, who fell to 0-6 on the season.

Bishop Lynch scored touchdowns on all 7 of their possessions in the first half, taking a 49-0 lead into intermission. With a running clock in the second half, the Friars added another score in the third.

Charles Crawford ran for a pair of scores for the second straight contest while Cole Johnson, Jack Taylor, Kaidon Salter, and Michael Light each scored on the ground as well. Salter and Light each tossed a score with Salter finding Jack Bradley and Light hooking up with Davis Kaul. Bradley led all players with 54 yards on 3 catches.

Warren Walls led the defensive charge, posting 4 tackles (3 for loss), 1.5 sacks and 3 hurries. Ayden Howard also had 1.5 sacks.

Ethan Green made the most of some extended playing time, recording 2 sacks and recovering a fumble.

• The same can be said for Will Schmierer, who picked off an ISB pass in the end zone and broke up another.

• The entire defense gets a nod for the shutout effort, during which the unit totaled 13 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, 7 hurries and 5 defended passes.

Carson Garrett made all 7 of his extra points and booted 6 kickoffs for touchbacks. Garrett is perfect on 14 PATs this season and has 14 total touchbacks.

• Salter ran for a score and threw for another for the second straight game. His 152.6 QB rating is the highest single-game mark of his short career.
