Best team score in almost two decades gives BL tournament title

The men's golf team won the TTI Invitational Tournament at Waterview Golf Club on Wednesday, firing a team score of 313, the lowest score for a BL team in more than 15 years. 

The team had three players finish in the Top 5. Senior Jamie Ruengmateekhun finished third overall with a round of 75, while juniors Dalton McKinney and Jack Adams tied for fourth with rounds of 76.

Other team members were junior Josh Veler and sophomore Seth Muehlstein

On the women's side, senior Madison Gorman finished third overall with a round of 82.

The junior varsity boys also faired well with a third-place finish. The JV had three players finish in the Top 10. Freshman Jake Pencsak finished seventh with a score of 97, junior Connor Dowling finished eighth with a 98 and freshman Nick Heatly finished ninth with a 99. 

The varsity team's next tournament is Oct. 12 at Firewheel Golf Course.
