The Friar lacrosse made history last week, picking up the first win in the history of the young program at Roffino Stadium.
The Friars (1-5) topped John Paul II by a 5-2 final score for the program's inaugural victory. Zion Hawkins scored twice to lead the offense while Luke Heathcott, William Parsons and Ryan Huntress each added a goal.
Hunter Morgan continued his impressive play in goal, making an astounding 25 saves against the Cardinals on 27 shot attempts.
The win was sandwiched between a pair of tough outings – an 8-3 loss to Trinity Valley and a 14-1 loss at Plano East on Monday night.
The Friars face the Fort Worth Panthers on the road Wednesday t 7 pm and return to Roffino on April 5 to face Fort Worth Country Day.
