Friars earning respect, closing gap between experienced clubs

Bishop Lynch is not only stepping their game up in the first year of the boys lacrosse program, they're also starting to close the gap on some more experienced teams.

The Friars (2-7) dropped their first pair of games this month, but did so in competitive fashion against Fort Worth Country Day, a Division II program. The Friars (Div. 3) played an intense, physical match that was close to the end, falling by a score of 9-6.

In their most recent outing, the Friars fell on the road to Denton, 5-2, the same Denton team that topped BL in its first-ever contest, by a margin twice as large.

The Friars are on the road to face Bridge Lacrosse on Thursday at 8 pm. BL returns home next Tuesday (4/17) against Prestonwood Christian, heads to John Paul II on April 19 and ends the regular season at home against Hillcrest on April 24.
