Sisk medals again; Williams, Chavez lead boys in first competition

Sarah Katherine Sisk medaled for the second straight meet, winning bronze in her weight class during Saturday's meet in Sunnyvale.

Sisk also won bronze at the opening meet of the season in Wylie, finishing in the Top 3 in the 165-pound weight class. 

Her teammates all earned Top 10 finishes as Jada Nwigwe (fourth), Karina Martinez (fifth) and Lillia Farlow (sixth) all finished well in Sunnyvale.

The men competed for the first time this season, and had four Top 10 finishes including Jeremiah Williams (fifth) in the 123's and Isaac Chavez (fifth) in the 242's.

Joe Shore (eighth) and Logan Monroe (10th) also performed well in the 242's while Collin Young 12th) and Juan Oliva (19th) had Top 20 finishes in the 275's and 165's, respectively.
The teams will compete again next week in Cedar Hill with the girls in action Feb. 8 starting at 5:00 pm, and the boys competing Feb. 9 at 9:00 am.
