Tuesday's shutout win at TCA not only helped the Lady Friars bounce back from a district loss, but gave coach Amy Wheeler a career milestone – career win No. 400.
Wheeler guided the Lady Friars (8-7, 5-2) to a 12-0 win over TCA in five innings, with Kyleigh Freeman getting the win in place of injured starter Abby Thrash.
Freeman went four innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out four. Thrash pitched the fifth inning to finish off the Lady Trojans.
The Lady Friars totaled 14 hits in the contest, including multiple hits from Alexis Martinez, Gabi Quintanilla and Riley Cantrell. Quintanilla doubled three times, Cantrell doubled twice and Farlow doubled once.
The Lady Friars are back home Thursday to host John Paul II at 4:30 pm. The following day they will play at Bishop Dunne (5 pm) and then host Prestonwood Christian on Monday at 4:30 pm.
