The Friar tennis team will keep up its current pace with two district meets and a tournament in the next week.

The Bishop Lynch tennis team has been busy as of late, competing in four meets over a span of nine days.

Most recently, the Friars faced Shelton on Wednesday at the Dallas Athletic Club.

Ashlyn Duy, Ben Walter, Jillian Brown and Allison Lawrence won their singles matches while the doubles teams of Antonio Andrews/Thomas Earp, Yogi Sullivan/Olivia Otten and Stella Caldas/Lindsey Kirkpatrick all earned victories.

On Feb. 28, Duy and Walter again earned wins, this time against Prestonwood Christian. Walter remains undefeated in district singles matches. Brown and Lawrence also won their singles matches against PCA.

Duy and Walter were the only match winners during a Feb. 23 meet against Parish Episcopal.

Also, back on Feb. 22, Walter, Brown, Lawrence and Matt Goldman all won singles matches against Bishop Dunne.

The team of Sullivan/Otten won in doubles play, as did the duos of Spencer Willeford/Andrews and Beck McCall/Daniel Barrett.

The Friars will continue to stay busy, with one tournament and two district meets in the next week.

Bishop Lynch will compete tomorrow in the Denton tournament, then face Ursuline on Monday at the Prestonwood Country Club, followed by a meet against Nolan on Tuesday at the Hurst Tennis Center.
