Friars seek tickets to state at Thursday's regional meet

Bishop Lynch will be well-represented Thursday at the TAPPS North Regional Track & Field Meet, thanks to a solid performance at last week's district meet in Argyle.

A trip to state is on the line for BL's six relay teams and a huge group of individuals when they compete at Lancaster High School on Thursday.

The following student-athletes will be competing in individual events for a trip to state:

Jane Onuoha – 100 hurdles

Cole Rappaport – 110 hurdles, Pole vault

Brenda Mendoza – 800 meters

Ryan Sheaffer – 800 meters

Joseph McDonald – 800 meters

Charlotte Lane – 400 meters

Anna Schrader – 400 meters

Shawn Pepp – 400 meters

Ryan Huntress – 400 meters, Pole vault

Gabe Vasquez – 200 meters

Bella Mendoza – Discus

Diana Effiom – Discus, Shot put

Jake Bayouth – Discus

Jack Bradley – Discus

Giann Santos – Discus, Shot put

Andrew Pham – Long jump

Kelly Nary – High jump

Field events will start Thursday morning at 9 am and the 3200 meter run is scheduled for 9:30 am. Running finals will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the final field event.
