Friar teams take third at Cardinal Invitational

The Bishop Lynch varsity boys and girls each finished third last weekend at the JPII Cardinal Invitational in Plano.

The varsity boys earned 93 points, behind John Paul II (163) and Covenant Christian (147), while the varsity girls totaled 114 points behind John Paul II (205) and Ursuline Academy (193).

The junior varsity boys finished second with 150 points and the JV girls were fifth.

The varsity boys earned eight medals (four silver, four bronze), while the varsity girls captured nine medals, including gold in the pole vault and triple jump. The girls also had two relay teams win bronze.

The next competition for Bishop Lynch track and field teams is Friday at the Lion Relays, hosted by Prestonwood Christian.
