Varsity girls make history with program's first victory

The Bishop Lynch varsity girl's lacrosse program finally got the monkey off its back, notching the first win in program history last week with an 11-5 defeat of Parish Episcopal.

The Lady Friars (1-5) – like many new programs – suffered through a winless campaign last season and five losses this season before finally pushing through the barrier for a win.

Lindsay Tujague and Josie Trent each scored three goals, Olivia Peracchi also netted a pair while Millie Hall, Shelby Stefanek, and Victoria Braden added a goal apiece. Olivia McLean added six saves in goal.

The ladies' remaining three contests will all be played at Roffino Stadium, starting with Thursday's Senior Night game against Parish at 5:30 pm.

They will also host Plano on Sunday afternoon (1:00 pm) and Bridge on Monday at 7:30 pm to wrap up the regular season.
