Mallory Johnson had three assists to go with a hat trick in Tuesday's 9-0 shutout of Bishop Dunne in the Lady Friars' season opener.

When Kaky Kuby found the net a little more than a minute into Tuesday's season opener, the floodgates opened for Bishop Lynch and the scoring seemingly never stopped in a 9-0 shutout win over Bishop Dunne.

Kuby scored twice in the contest while Jacksonville University commit Mallory Johnson posted a hat trick and added three assists. The Lady Friars (1-0-0 / 1-0) led 6-0 at intermission.

Alexis Sanders had both a pair of goals and pair of assists and freshman Mariana Zevallos notched a goal and assist in her first varsity contest. Aly Simpkins also put in a goal for the Lady Friars.

Kaylee Schmoll, Carissa Torres and Mia Belz each assisted on a goal and Madison White earned the clean sheet in net for Bishop Lynch. Chase Malone, Katie Gittemeier and Charlotte Lane helped shut down the Lady Falcons on the defensive end.

The Lady Friars hit the road for the first time Thursday for a big district match against Parish Episcopal at 6:30 pm.
