Kuby directs offense in 5-0 playoff win over Concordia Lutheran

In her final season at Bishop Lynch, senior Kaky Kuby is ensuring she leaves a lasting impression. Her final game at Roffino Stadium was certainly one to remember.

Kaky scored a goal and assisted on four others in leading the second-ranked Lady Friars (18-5-2) to a 5-0 first-round playoff win over No. 8 Concordia Lutheran on Tuesday. Kuby leads the team this season with 20 goals and 21 assists.

The girls will face Parish Episcopal in the TAPPS Division I Quarterfinals on Friday at John Paul II. The game is scheduled for 6:30 pm.

Anna Schrader, Jordyn Beard, Alexis Sanders and Mariana Zevallos punched in goals for the Lady Friars while Madison White recorded another clean sheet in goal.

The Lady Friars own a 2-0 record against Parish this season, with a 3-0 road win on Nov. 2 and a 5-1 home win on Jan. 8.
