The women's soccer team started the 2018-19 campaign by knocking off a couple of former district foes for a 2-0 start.

On Monday, the Friars played to a 1-1 draw at halftime before pulling away for a 4-2 win at Roffino Stadium. Jaida Thomas recorded a hat trick and Alexis Sanders added a goal. Mallory Johnson assisted on two goals, Sanders on another and Andrea Marentes had a helper. Madison White earned the win between the pipes.

The three second-half goals scored by the Friars came in a span of just 11 minutes in the second half.

Two days later, the Friars traveled to Addison for a contest at Trinity Christian. After a scoreless first half, Thomas scored on an assist from Johnson with 30 minutes to play. It would end up being the game-winner as White got another win, this time by shutout.

The ladies are back home on Nov. 19 for a game against Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio) at 3:00 pm.
