Lady Friars sweep Nolan for 50th straight district win

FORT WORTH – Bishop Lynch returned to district play Tuesday, sweeping a road match from Nolan Catholic by scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-14.

The win was the 50th consecutive district victory for the Lady Friars dating back to October 2013.

Madi Tyus hammered 14 kills to go with 13 digs, Lauryn Green had 11 kills and Elizabeth Moreland had 10 kills as the Lady Friars improved to 18-4 overall, 2-0 in district.

Alex Galicia served three aces in addition to her 22 assists, Izzy Aguilar had 18 assists and seven digs while Natalie Bennett turned in 12 digs.

Bishop Lynch returns home for just the third time this season Thursday for a big match against Prestonwood Christian. The Lady Lions are 18-7 overall and 3-1 in league play.
