Add two more wins to the Lady Friars' win column after sweeping Bishop Dunne and Trinity Christian during district play in the past week.

Bishop Lynch (23-4 overall, 7-0 district) came out smelling like roses in what turned out to be a wild Tuesday night across the district.

Ursuline – who's only district loss came against Lynch – was beaten in five sets by Liberty Christian, and Parish Episcopal – who had only lost to Lynch and Ursuline – was swept by a Nolan team with just one other league win.

Those results, coupled with the Lady Friars' win at TCA, gave Bishop Lynch a two-game lead in the standings and another game up due to head-to-head tiebreakers.

Last Thursday, the Lady Friars swept last-place Dunne by scores of 25-9, 25-8 and 25-10. Last night, they shook off a rusty start to finish a sweep of TCA with scores of 25-23, 25-15 and 25-14.

Lynch will head to Argyle on Thursday to face Liberty Christian and complete the first round of district games. The varsity contest is scheduled for a 6 pm start.
