Second half of district schedule begins with plenty at stake

The top-ranked Lady Friars head to Plano tomorrow to start the second half of their district schedule at John Paul II. With a district win streak now sitting at 56 consecutive matches, Bishop Lynch (24-4, 8-0) is not only playing to keep their spot on top of the district, but to keep a rather impressive streak alive.

The Lady Friars dropped just two sets during the first half of the league schedule during 3-1 wins against Prestonwood Christian and Ursuline Academy. The other six matches were all sweeps for BL.

The back half of the district schedule starts with consecutive road matches tomorrow at JP2 then Tuesday at Parish Episcopal. The Lady Friars are home on Oct. 5 against Nolan Catholic before going back to Plano to face Prestonwood on Oct. 10.

A huge matchup with Ursuline should have BL's Championship Gym rocking on Oct. 12, as the district title will likely be at stake. The final road game is at Bishop Dunne on Oct. 17 before ending the regular season with home matches against Trinity Christian and Liberty Christian on Oct. 19 and Oct. 24, respectively.

Area playoff games will take place Oct. 31 and regional playoffs are scheduled for Nov. 4 in Robinson, Tx. The state tournament will take place Nov. 10-11 at West High School.
