Friars fifth, Lady Friars 10th at Arlington meet

ARLINGTON – Bishop Lynch competed with a tough field of schools Saturday and finished with Top 10 team finishes at the Gerald Richey Invitational, held at Lynn Creek Park.

The Friars finished fifth out of 14 teams, paced by senior Ryan Sheaffer, who had a BL-best 12th place finish.

Finishing in the Top 30 were Joe McDonald (25th), Luke Hernandez (27th) and Killian Baker (29th). Lucas Herrmann and Chris Dunn also contributed to the Friars' final point tally.

The Lady Friars finished 10th in the team standings and were led by Anna Schrader (25th) and Elissa Dryden (34th). Emily Hall, Norma Ceron and Sophia Duarte help the team effort with their finishes.

The JV boys finished 10th as well while Scarlett Fulmer (24th) and Jessica Hamer (25th) paced the JV girls.

The teams will have two weeks of preparation for their next meet, scheduled for Sept. 30 at Springfield Park in Rowlett.
