Men's team finishes 3rd, qualifies for state meet

DENTON – The Bishop Lynch men's cross country team is heading to state following a third-place finish at Thursday's TAPPS 6A North District Championship meet at South Lakes Park.

The state championship meet is slated for Oct. 29 at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco.

Luke Hernandez and Matthew Strawman finished in the Top 10, while Addison Baum and Jack Daves were in the Top 20 finishers. The Friars had all seven competitors finish in the Top 25.

The women's team did not have enough entries to qualify for team scoring, but was led by Anne Stewart's Top 20 finish. All four women's runner finished in the Top 25.
