Friars finish 15th at state cross country meet

WACO – Bishop Lynch had seven runners in action during Monday's TAPPS 6A Cross Country State Championships at Waco's Cottonwood Creek Golf Course. Those Friars helped the team finish 15thamong the 20 schools competing.

Juniors Luke Hernandez, Addison Baum, and freshman Matthew Strawman finished among the Top 100 with Hernandez and Baum separated by less than a second. All seven Friars were within two minutes of each other.

The Friars will graduate just one senior – Jack Daves – from the squad, leaving the team with a solid nucleus for next season.
