DALLAS -- The Bishop Lynch junior varsity volleyball team has built a reputation as one of the most successful teams on campus, and in 2022 that didn't change. The team went 25-3 on the season with an 11-1 record in district play. They lost their last district game against Ursuline last Thursday but won the tiebreaker on points to earn the district title.
The team was dominant every time they stepped on the court, especially at home where they went 12-1 and they only dropped three total sets. Some of the biggest home victories came against Plano West, Frisco Independence, Prestonwood, John Paul II and Ursuline.
In the Frisco Flyer tournament earlier this year, the ladies went 6-1. They defeated McKinney Boyd, Frisco Centennial, Wylie, Hebron, McKinney and Rock Hill.
"I feel so blessed to have coached this amazing group of young women this season. They are all dedicated and hard-working athletes. I cannot wait to see all they accomplish in their future at Bishop Lynch." said JV Head Coach Bonnie Jenkins.
The junior varsity team hasn't lost more than five games in a season since 2019 and hasn't had a season with double-digit losses since 2017.
