Box Score DALLAS, TX -- The women's lacrosse team is catching fire at the right time of the season as they won their fifth straight game last night 13-9 over John Paul II, improving their season record to 6-3.

The Friars came out of the gate strong with a few early goals. The Cardinals did not back down though and answered BL's fast start, scoring three goals in the first seven minutes to make it 4-3 in favor of the Friars. BL closed the half strong scoring three more goals - two in the final five minutes - and creating a four-goal halftime advantage of 7-3.

The second half proved to be tougher for the Friars, as they didn't find the back of the net until 10 minutes into the half. The score was 7-4 when the Friars scored their first goal of the second half. Both teams would go back and forth from there and eventually BL would win 13-9.

Goal scorers for Bishop Lynch included Daryn Raleigh - who signed her NLI this morning to play at Rhodes College - who scored seven of the Friars' 13 goals. Quincy Salinas added three goals and Corbin Salinas, Avery McKnight and Jane Sleiman all added one goal each. 

The Friars were also celebrating the Class of 2023 as this game was their senior night. Bishop Lynch held a ceremony for the seniors before the game where they were honored with their families. They have all accomplished so much as student-athletes at BL. Congratulations to Avery McKnight, Daryn Raleigh, Sarah Rios and Corbin Salinas on outstanding careers in black and white.

The women's lacrosse program continues its busy week with a game tonight against Plano. The Friars will be playing on the road at Clark Field with a 7:00 PM start.
