Coach Barry Knott is entering his 31st year teaching/coaching, and his 22nd year at Bishop Lynch. During his time at BL, Coach Knott served as the head basketball coach for nine years and is entering his 13th year as the men’s golf coach. As the Friars' golf coach, the men’s golf team has advanced to the TAPPS State Tournament four different times, with a State Runners-Up finish in 2023.
Coach Knott graduated from Tarleton State University and is a member of the Tarleton Athletic Hall of Fame for his collegiate basketball career. Coach Knott enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, Brandi, and three children – Addison '21, Ainsley '23, and Carter.
