Friars sending 11 to state track and field championships

FORT WORTH – Eleven members of the Bishop Lynch Track and Field program will compete in Waco this weekend at the TAPPS State Championships following their qualifying performances at the regional meet last week.

Two-time state champion Madison White (high jump) and defending state champion Natalie Lark (pole vault) are among those advancing to compete at Midway ISD Stadium on Friday and Saturday.

The Friars will try their hand in five field events and four running events, including the women's 4x200 relay. Bishop Lynch has three qualifiers in the two pole vault competitions and both regional champions in the high jump. Two athletes – Luke Hernandez and Evie Trent – will compete in multiple events.
