Mike Hopper

Mike Hopper is entering year 11th year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Bishop Lynch. Friars Athletic Training has been recognized as a Safe Sports School by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2015. Coach Hopper and his staff provide care for hundreds of Friars athletes each year and work to collaborate with healthcare providers from around the DFW. Coach Hopper also teaches a Sports Medicine I class.
 
Coach Hopper holds a bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Southeast Missouri State University and a master's Degree in Pediatric Sports Medicine from the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. He is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Texas and a Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers. When not providing care for Friars athletes, Hopper speaks at the regional and national levels on various athletic training topics and is a contributing author to the National Athletic Trainers Association Position Statement: Emergency Action Plan Development and Implementation in Sport and Roundtable on Preseason Heat Safety in Secondary School Athletics: Prehospital Care of Patients With Exertional Heat Stroke.
