History:
Bishop Lynch and Prestonwood Christian Academy have faced off 20 times on the gridiron. In their first-ever meeting in 2006, the Friars secured a 17-7 victory. However, the Lions now hold a 12-8 overall advantage and are riding a five-game winning streak.

Players to Watch:

Prestonwood Christian:
  • #88 Jack Harwell: A difference-maker on the defensive line, Harwell is a force with his size and athleticism. The senior has racked up 31 tackles this season, 7.5 of which have been for a loss. His ability to impact the game is evident as he draws significant attention from opposing offenses.
  • #12 Luke Glass: The senior quarterback has had an impressive start to the season, boasting a 74% completion rate and a stellar 12:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Glass has thrown for 993 yards and also poses a threat on the ground, averaging around 20 rushing yards per game.

Bishop Lynch:
  • #14 Armando Aguilera: Aguilera, with back-to-back starts, has found his rhythm within the Friars' offense. Over the last two games, he has thrown for five touchdowns. For the season, he holds a 66% completion rate and has yet to throw an interception.
  • #1 Gabe Nimmo: Known as the "Swiss Army knife" of Bishop Lynch, Nimmo contributes across all three phases of the game, excelling on defense. From his safety position, he is fourth on the team in tackles with 20 and ranks second in pass breakups. He also plays a role on special teams as a returner and may line up at quarterback on offense.

Keys to the Game:

Prestonwood Christian: The Lions are a big, physical team, especially in the trenches. They combine size up front with speed and athleticism on the outside. Their success will depend on their offensive line creating space for the running game and giving their quarterback time to make plays. Defensively, their three-man front must clog up the running lanes and allow their linebackers and safeties to make plays.

Bishop Lynch: The Friars are coming off a bye week, which allowed them to regroup and get healthy. To pull off the upset, they will need their wide receivers to win one-on-one matchups on the outside. If they can establish an effective passing game early, it will open up opportunities against Prestonwood's 3-3-5 defense. On defense, Bishop Lynch must focus on forcing negative plays on early downs to disrupt Prestonwood's high-tempo offense. Limiting big plays and making the Lions sustain long drives will be crucial.
