Men's soccer opens season with dominant victory

DALLAS, TX -- The Bishop Lynch men's soccer team opened the 2024-25 season with a 4-0 victory over Brighter Horizons last night at Roffino Stadium. Junior Aziel Moreno had a standout offseason, which showed as he scored twice in the season opener. Other goal scorers for the Friars were Julian Neuman and Jack DeSmeth, while Lucas Martinez and Nate Nammari each recorded an assist.

"For our first game, we showed a strong level of connectedness, patience, and discipline in our approach," Head Coach Stewart Brown said. "Along with moments of individual brilliance, it was teamwork that created our four goals and kept a clean sheet. We should be pleased with our performance as a strong foundation to build upon for the next series of games."

Junior goalkeeper Luke Hildenbrand started for the Friars, making one save to secure the clean sheet.

The Friars return to action Thursday, Nov. 14, hitting the road for the first time to take on Greenhill.
