Friars Win Home Opener Wire-to-Wire Over Carter

DALLAS, TX -- After starting the season with three wins on the road, the Bishop Lynch men's basketball team impressed in their home opener with a 56-50 victory over Carter on Tuesday night. 

The Friars controlled the game from start to finish, never trailing in a contest defined by their dominance from beyond the arc. Bishop Lynch connected on nine 3-pointers, compared to just one for the Cowboys, giving the Friars a 24-point advantage from long range.
 
Every time Carter tried to mount a comeback, a Friar stepped up with a key 3-pointer to halt their momentum. Isaiah Baker led the sharpshooting effort with three triples as part of his 11-point performance. Junior Jeremiah Williams paced the Friars with a team-high 15 points and added four steals in a standout defensive effort.

Big man William Schroeder made his presence felt on both ends of the floor, contributing four points, seven rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and four deflections. He finished with a game-best +21 plus/minus rating.

NEXT UP:
The Friars head to San Antonio for their first tournament of the season. They will compete in the annual South San Tournament from Nov. 21-23 with their first game at 8:00 p.m. on the 21st.
