Alamo’s First-Half Goal Secures Bishop Lynch’s Win Over Hockaday

DALLAS, TX -- Bella Alamo's goal off a first-half corner kick was enough for the Bishop Lynch Friars to claim a pivotal 1-0 road victory over Hockaday on Tuesday night. The win marks the Friars' first triumph over the Daisies since the teams began facing each other annually in 2019. 

"Tonight was a quality win over a quality opponent," said Head Coach Michael Dawdy. "Our preseason games against Hockaday have always been a strong test and evaluation of our play. Unfortunately, in the last five meetings, we haven't been able to earn the winning result. Tonight, we got the result we had been seeking." 


The Friars' defense delivered a flawless performance, not allowing a single shot on goal. This defensive display is particularly impressive considering Hockaday's dominant 4-0 win over Trinity Christian in their season opener.
