Defending champs open up the season with an impressive victory

DESOTO, TX -- The defending TAPPS 6A State Champions Bishop Lynch Friars opened up their 2024-2025 season the same way they ended last season, with a 66-53 victory over Legacy the school of sports sciences out of Houston in the Fran Harris Tip-Off Classic.

Londyn Perry and Fre Vowels each scored 20+ points as the guard duo combined for 43 points on 51.7% shooting with nine total three-pointers. Perry added five rebounds and Vowels dished out four assists. Freshman guard Addy Flowers made a standout debut, contributing nine points, three assists, and two steals to give Friar fans an exciting glimpse into the future.
