Friars Finish Sixth in Opening Tournament

COLLEYVILLE, Texas — The Bishop Lynch women's basketball team wrapped up its opening weekend with a 2–2 record, finishing sixth overall at the Colleyville Heritage Tournament.

The Friars opened pool play on Thursday with a pair of strong performances, defeating Arlington Bowie 48–44 and Plano West 61–38. On Friday, Bishop Lynch faced one of the top teams in the DFW area, Southlake Carroll. Despite a competitive effort, the Friars fell 50–33, placing them in the fifth-place game.

In that matchup, Bishop Lynch squared off against Mansfield Lake Ridge. In another tight contest, the Friars came up just short, falling 57–51 to close out the tournament in sixth place.
