Day, Williams Combine for 39 Points as Friars Fall in Regionals to Parish

DALLAS, Texas — Entering Friday night's matchup, Bishop Lynch knew it would need a near-perfect performance to defeat defending state champion Parish Episcopal. For much of the game the Friars delivered, but the Panthers pulled away in the second half to secure a 60-48 victory in the TAPPS regional round.

Jeremiah Williams and Nathan Day led the way offensively, scoring 21 and 17 points, respectively, to keep the Friars within striking distance. Williams paced the team in the first half, tallying 11 points and three assists to help Bishop Lynch take a 28-27 lead into halftime.

Despite a valiant effort from the entire team, Parish Episcopal made key contested shots in the second half to seal the win.

The Friars finished the season with 25 wins, their highest total since the 2018-19 squad won 32 games. Congratulations to the entire team on another outstanding season. Thank you to Friar Nation for your unwavering support!
