Bishop Lynch volleyball heads to Plano on Thursday, Oct. 29, for a TAPPS 6A regional rematch against the No. 1-seeded Prestonwood Christian Academy Lions. The matchup revisits last season's regional round, when the Friars pulled off one of the biggest upsets in program history with a 3-1 victory over Prestonwood.

• History on the line: The Friars snapped a 20-match losing streak against Prestonwood in last season's TAPPS 6A regional round, earning a 3-1 victory to advance to the semifinals. Read the recap.
• A top-ranked opponent: According to MaxPreps, Prestonwood is ranked No. 1 in Texas and No. 10 nationally, while Bishop Lynch is ranked No. 43 in Texas.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Kylie Love | Senior | Bishop Lynch
Love has been a workhorse for the Friars all season, leading the team with 363 kills and 1,113 total attempts while appearing in every match. She also delivered a standout performance in last year's regional upset, finishing with team highs of 16 kills and 16 digs while adding two aces and three blocks. Bishop Lynch will look to the senior standout to help lead another postseason push against the Lions.

Taylor Johnson | Junior | Prestonwood Christian
Prestonwood features six players verbally committed to NCAA Division I programs, including junior Taylor Johnson, who is committed to SMU and ranks among the top 10 recruits in her class. Johnson leads the Lions with 449 kills this season while hitting .394. Across the two district meetings with Bishop Lynch, she recorded 26 kills on a .659 hitting percentage with just one error.
