Bishop Lynch High School

John Searson is in his 7th year at Bishop Lynch, where he coaches football and powerlifting, as well as teaching world geography. Coach Searson graduated from Grapevine High School in 1985, then received his degree in 1991 from Tarleton State University. Before coming to BL, he coached at Euless, Northwest, L.D. Bell, Irving Nimitz, Azle, North Forney, and Rockwall-Heath. He was named Bishop Lynch's Assistant Coach of the Year in 2013-14 and 2018-19. Coach Searson and his wife, Rachel, married in 1992 and have two children – Thomas "Tad," and Reagan.
