Liberty ousts Friars in the regular-season finale; Friars now prepare for playoffs

ARGYLE – Bishop Lynch traveled to Argyle to face off against Liberty Christian last Friday in their regular-season finale. The Friars (0-5) went into the game against Liberty (1-6) with playoff implications still up in the air. Argyle pulled out the victory 35-21 in what was a hard-fought game.

The Friars offense had two 100-yard rushers in Cort Doyle (112, two touchdowns) and Isaiah Schmidtke (106, one touchdown) for the first time this season. Senior quarterback Michael Light added 172 yards in the air.

Defensively, the Friars continued to create turnovers as they forced three against Liberty Christian.
