ROCKWALL: Friar volleyball traveled to Rockwall over the weekend and faced off with non-district opponent Rockwall-Heath.  The Friars won the game 3-0 (26-24, 26-17, and 25-16). 

Bishop Lynch (3-2) was led by sophomore Lyric Berry and senior Charlotte Hain on Saturday. Berry had a team-high in kills (12) and blocks (7) while Lane had a team high in digs (21) in the victory. Setting up Berry and the other hitters on the Friar team were junior Rachel Vlk (18 sets) and freshman Cate Hatfield (16 sets).

Also contributing to the Friars offense was Katie Blomberg and Lauryn Lambert , who each got 6 kills. Jenny Canavan played well on defense, having 8 digs on the backline.

The Friars are finding their stride as district play starts this week against rival Ursuline.
