Box Score DALLAS - The Friars drop their first district game of the season with a 3-2 loss against Parish Episcopal.
Bishop Lynch (14-11, 2-1) forced the fifth set after falling down 2-0 but didn't quite have enough to muster the comeback, losing 15-8 in the final set. The Friars were able to get back into this district match with big-hitting.
Lauryn Lambert (18),
Maddie Nolan (14) and
Lyric Berry (12) all had double-digit kills as they were slicing up Parish's defense all night.
Cate Hatfield played great offensively and defensively, as she had 31 assists with three aces and picked up eight digs. Defensively at the net the Friars also performed well, getting 12 blocks with Berry leading the way with 10 assisted blocks.

Lauryn Lambert each had a double-double on the night. Berry had 12 kills and 10 blocks while Lambert had 18 kills and 20 digs.
The Friars are sitting third in district play with a big matchup against John Paul II at home on Thursday.

Junior Varsity improved to 19-2 (3-0) after defeating Parish 2-0. The Sophomore team etched out a close one against Hebron 2-1 to get their 20th win of the season.Â
