History:
Bishop Lynch and Trinity Christian have been frequent rivals since the 1990s, delivering thrilling matchups throughout the years. The series has been evenly contested, dating back to their first meeting in 1992 which ended in a 24-24 tie. Since then, the two TAPPS teams have faced off 33 times, with the series deadlocked at 17 wins apiece.

Players to Watch:
Bishop Lynch
#7 Matias Leon Leon's confidence in the pocket has grown throughout TAPPS play this season. He leads an offense averaging 34 points per game in district competition, throwing for 662 yards and rushing for 97 while accounting for 10 total touchdowns.

#10 Alex Finley Stepping in for Colton Monroe, who graduated last year, Finley has exceeded expectations. The sophomore leads the team with 55 tackles this season, along with 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and a forced fumble last week against Nolan. He will play a critical role in slowing the Trojan rushing attack.
Trinity Christian

#12 Matthew Cortez:  Cortez is a versatile senior who will make his presence felt on both sides of the ball. On defense, he leads the team with 63 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss from his middle linebacker spot. Offensively, Cortez ranks second on the team in carries (42), rushing yards (134), and rushing touchdowns (1).

Keys to the Game:
Bishop Lynch has struggled with slow starts this season and must come out strong against a Trinity Christian team known for early-game dominance. The Trojans jumped to first-half leads of 28-15 against Legacy Christian and 25-14 against St. Mark's, though they eventually lost both games. The Friars will need to seize an early lead and force the Trojans to play from behind.

As always, the turnover battle will be a decisive factor in this Friday night matchup. Whichever team wins the turnover margin will have a significant edge.
