Alamo, Friars Kick Off Season with Offensive Surge

DALLAS, TX -- The Bishop Lynch women's soccer team, fresh off a TAPPS runner-up finish last season, started the 2024-25 campaign with a dominant 11-0 victory over Texas Storm on Wednesday night at Roffino Stadium. Senior Bella Alamo delivered a standout performance, scoring four goals and adding two assists. Ellis Kuntz contributed a goal and two assists, while Madison Murphy found the net twice and added an assist of her own.

"Tonight was a great start to our season," said Head Coach Michael Dawdy. "Our goal was to start with a win, but more importantly, we wanted to build synergy between our returning and new players. We took a step in the right direction tonight with the 11-0 victory."

Newcomers also made their mark in the season opener. Freshman Serenity Collins impressed with two goals in her first game as a Friar.

The highlight of the night came in the second half when Reese Myers scored on a perfectly executed header off a corner kick from Alamo, adding a thrilling finish to an already impressive showing.

Next Up:
The Friars return to Roffino Stadium on Tuesday, Nov. 12, to face HSAA under the lights at 8 p.m. CT.
