HOW IT HAPPENED

SET 1 | Bishop Lynch battled in a scrappy first set, leaning on tough defense to stay within striking distance. A block by Charlie Wells and Ava Wennerstrom narrowed the gap to 20-17, but a late surge from Prestonwood saw the Lions close the set with a 5-1 run to win 25-18.

SET 2 | The Friars found their rhythm in the second set. With the score tied at 20, Bishop Lynch was on the verge of evening the match with Wells notching a team-high four kills. However, some costly errors in the final moments allowed the Lions to edge out a 25-20 victory.

SET 3 | Prestonwood came out strong in the third set, racing to an 18-8 lead. The undeterred Friars mounted a comeback to close the gap and finish the set at 25-18, showing resilience despite the Lions' fast start.

SUB-VARSITY RESULTS:
  • Junior Varsity 1 extended their winning streak to five matches with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Prestonwood Christian, improving their overall record to 7-3, 1-0.
  • The Freshman team faced a tough challenge, falling 2-0 to Prestonwood's JV squad.
