Friars Take Care of Business in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma -- Both Bishop Lynch basketball programs traveled to Oklahoma City over the weekend to face off against Bishop McGuinness High School. The women's team took control early and never looked back, winning wire-to-wire and building a 15-point lead at one point. Londyn Perry led the way with 16 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Her guard counterpart, Fre Vowels, had her 22nd double-digit scoring game of the season with 13 points. Kate Webb recorded a career-high 10 rebounds to go with her four points.

The men's team found themselves in a tight battle against the Irish. In the second half, Bishop McGuinness built their lead to 42-28. The Friars then closed the game on a 33-10 run to secure their 20th win of the season. Jeremiah Williams (16), Nathan Day (11), and Jagan Thomas (10) all scored in double digits, while Ishmael Muhammad added nine points off the bench to lead Bishop Lynch.
