  • The Bishop Lynch Friars take on the Antonian Apaches on Friday afternoon for the TAPPS 6A title. This marks the first meeting between the two schools since the 2023 postseason. 
  • Since 2008, Bishop Lynch and Antonian have split their eight matches played, 4-4. 
  • The last time these two teams faced off in Robinson High School was in 2022, when the Friars swept the Apaches 3-0 to advance to the state title. 
Players to Watch

Junior Kyle Love has been the Friars' offensive focal point this postseason. She is averaging 17.3 kills per match this postseason and had a career high of 24 kills in the semifinal match against Nolan Catholic. Look for the Friars to feed number 3 this afternoon. 

The Apaches won 43 matches this year due to their offensive firepower. It was led by junior Lucy Rote, who finished the season with 376 kills with an outstanding .305 hitting percentage. Look for the Apaches to use her early and often.
