Williams Shines in Season Opener

DALLAS - The Bishop Lynch men's basketball team opened its 2025 campaign with an impressive 71–52 win over Arlington Bowie at the Jimmy Gales Showcase on Saturday. Senior captain Jeremiah Williams set the tone early and never let up, finishing with 27 points, six assists, and four rebounds in a standout season debut.

The Friars were efficient and disciplined on both ends of the floor. They shot 52.2% from the field and used their defensive aggressiveness to disrupt Bowie, forcing 23 turnovers and converting those mistakes into 22 points.

Junior captain Jagan Thomas picked up right where he left off last season, opening the year with a double-double: 15 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Luke Nimmo made the most of his first career varsity start, adding 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting and becoming the third Friar to reach double figures.

UP NEXT
The Friars hit the court tomorrow, November 18, in their home opener against Argyle High School. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Competition Gym.
