DALLAS — The Bishop Lynch women's basketball team claimed the 62nd Bob Stras Memorial Classic presented by the Knights of Columbus this past weekend, capturing the tournament title for the first time since 2022 with a perfect 3–0 run. The Friars secured the championship with a 41–26 win over Colleyville Heritage on Saturday.

Fre Vowels delivered a standout tournament performance, averaging 18.3 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 rebounds to lead the Friars and earn Tournament MVP honors. Junior guard Avery Billotte also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after averaging 4.7 points, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 rebounds across the three games.

Game 1 vs. Nimitz
Bishop Lynch opened the tournament with authority, rolling past Irving Nimitz 60–27 to advance to the semifinals. Vowels set the tone with 18 points and five assists, while Eleanor Prosser added 10 points and seven rebounds in the commanding win.

Game 2 vs. The Village
The semifinal matchup proved to be the Friars' toughest test of the weekend. The Village, who later finished third in the tournament, pushed Bishop Lynch in a back-and-forth battle.

With the game tied at 41 and 21 seconds remaining, the Friars drew up a play that freed Billotte for an open look. Her shot rimmed out, but Kate Webb crashed the glass for a crucial offensive rebound and put-back, giving Bishop Lynch a 43–41 lead with 6.5 seconds left. The Friars held defensively in the final seconds to advance to the championship game.

Game 3 vs. Colleyville Heritage
In the title game, the Friars controlled the action from the opening tip and never trailed. Despite a scoreless fourth quarter, Bishop Lynch's early dominance carried them to a 41–26 win over Colleyville Heritage. Vowels tied her season high with 22 points, while Billotte added six as the Friars extended their winning streak to four games.
