Friars Sweep Ursuline, Secure No. 3 Seed on Senior Night

DALLAS, Texas — Bishop Lynch flipped the script from last season, completing a season sweep of Ursuline Academy with a 51-42 victory on Senior Night.

Before tipoff, the Bishop Lynch Athletic Department honored seniors Thea Abssy, Christina Giles, Londyn Perry, and Nebiat Woldu for their contributions to the women's basketball program.

Perry made the most of her final home game, leading the Friars with 20 points, six rebounds, and two assists. She scored 15 of her 20 points in the second and third quarters as Bishop Lynch built a lead that stretched to 16. Sophomore Addy Flowers provided a spark off the bench, finishing with six points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

The Friars delivered one of their most complete performances of the season, shooting a season-high 50% from the field with five players scoring six or more points.

With the win, Bishop Lynch secured the No. 3 seed in TAPPS 6A-District 2 and will face Nolan Catholic, the No. 2 seed from TAPPS 6A-District 1 in the first round of the playoffs. The game will be played on the road on Feb. 18.
