Strong Fourth Quarter Propels Friars Past Vikings

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fre Vowels and Londyn Perry delivered in the clutch on Tuesday night, combining for 13 fourth-quarter points to help Bishop Lynch pull away from Nolan Catholic in a 45-37 TAPPS 6A area playoff victory. The defending state champions will now travel to face district opponent Prestonwood Christian in the regional round.

Vowels and Perry, the two key contributors remaining from last year's championship squad, showcased their leadership in a win-or-go-home road game. The backcourt duo accounted for 31 of the Friars' 45 points and knocked down three critical three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Perry led all scorers with 18 points, adding eight rebounds and four assists in a standout performance.

Bishop Lynch's victory was a full team effort. Lily Reyes chipped in three points but made her presence felt with timely rebounds and assists, finishing with four of each. Ciara Osuji stepped up in the absence of Nebiat Woldu, grabbing five rebounds—including three on the offensive glass—while tallying four steals.
