Friars Overpower Trojans, Set Up Playoff Rematch Against Parish

DALLAS, Texas — The Bishop Lynch men's basketball team hosted its first playoff game since the 2020-21 season on Tuesday night, and much like that game four years ago, the Friars rolled past Trinity Christian with a 73-48 victory. It was a true team effort, with five players scoring at least eight points and six recording at least one assist.

As he often does, junior Jeremiah Williams led the Friars in scoring, finishing with 22 points and four assists. Senior Nathan Day was a facilitator on offense, tying his career high with nine assists while adding nine points. Sophomore Jagan Thomas continued his stellar play, recording his second consecutive double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

One hallmark of a Kyle May-coached team is relentless effort and attention to the little details that don't always show up in the box score. That effort paid off for senior William Schroeder who made the most of his final home game, scoring a career-high 14 points while grabbing six rebounds.

The Friars dominated the paint, outscoring the Trojans 52-24 inside. Struggling from beyond the arc (0-for-9), Bishop Lynch shifted to a more physical approach, led by Thomas, Schroeder, and Ishmael Muhammad, who combined for 24 points and 19 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass.
