Bishop Lynch Rolls Past Legacy Christian on Senior Night

DALLAS, Texas – Bishop Lynch not only cruised to a 72-54 victory over Legacy Christian Academy on Friday night but also celebrated the Class of 2025 with a pregame ceremony. The Bishop Lynch Athletic Department expressed gratitude for the contributions of seniors Nathan Day, Grady Norton, William Schroeder, and Aiden Scholz to the men's basketball program.

Everything seemed to go according to plan for the Friars. They aimed for a fast start and delivered, jumping out to a 21-13 lead after the first quarter. They wanted to control the turnover battle and did so convincingly, forcing 21 turnovers while committing just nine. That dominance led to a 24-4 advantage in points off turnovers. Combined with one of their best shooting performances of the month, it resulted in an 18-point victory.

Nathan Day and Jeremiah Williams continued to showcase their chemistry as a dynamic duo, each scoring 17 points while combining for six assists and just one turnover. Grady Norton (11 points) and Jagan Thomas (10) also reached double figures in the win.

Bishop Lynch's next game against Trinity Christian Academy is a non-district contest, but all eyes are on Friday's district finale at John Paul II. A victory over the Cardinals would secure a top-two finish in district play, a feat the Friars haven't achieved since the 2020-21 season.
